The quality is always at the centre of Saquella’s company philosophy, consolidated in 150 years of experience, and today this is still their principal objective. Quality is reached and obtained at every level of their production process: from the careful selection of the coffee origin, the blending, the final roasting even to the innovative system of packaging. The blends are composed of about 10 different varieties of coffee originally pure Arabica and also Arabica and Robusta to satisfy the different consumer tastes.

The family history of Saquella

Quality has always been Saquella’s number one mission, and it is still their inspiration today; from the selection of the raw materials to the melting process and the roasting. Despite the 5 generations of espresso coffee, they are determined to improve and innovate.

Saquella have a rich history. If we go back to 1856 In Abruzzo, Clemente Saquella started trading in spices and colonial products: tea, barley, cacao ofvarious qualities and origins. At first the young Clemente went back and forth between Chieti and Naples, then the capital, where he stocked up with products he couldn’t find on the local market. Then, with his brother, he opened a storehouse in Chieti to sell wholesale as confirmed by the registration documents of the company “Antonio and Clemente Saquella” in the ‘ Weights and Measures’ archives.

Today the company is guided by Enrico with the help of his children, who represent the fifth generation of the family, respecting the values that inspired his creation. The company is present in Italy and abroad in 40 countries in the Horeca and retail channel with a network of distributors and two affiliates.
