A fragrant coffee, smooth with a well balanced, sweet flavour. This coffee comes from the Mocha Sidamo province of Addis Ababa in Ethiopia, where a major goal of the grower’s cooperative is to invest profits into environmental projects which support the sustainable cultivation of coffee, providing a guaranteed income for farming families and protection for the surrounding ecosystem. Mocha is not to be confused with the chocolate coffee combination drink sold in the high street; the original word mocha is a derivation of Mecca and takes us back to the Arabian roots of the first coffee traders when coffee was known as the “Wine of Araby”. Our mocha is regarded as one of the finest of the Ethiopian Mochas; this coffee is particularly good when enjoyed without milk.

This pack is fitted with a special one way valve to allow the coffee to be packed directly after roasting and grinding to protect the coffee and maintain its freshness.
