strength guide
All our coffees have a strength guide which is designed to give you an indication
of their flavour intensity. The strength guide slides from one to five with
one being very delicate and five being robust. Our Kenyan AA carries a strength
guide 2 and is smooth, delicate and aromatic whilst our espresso is a strength
5 which will give you an idea of the difference in taste.
Roasting the different origins
to different strengths (colours) means that we can release the unique nature,
character and flavour of each coffee. For example, roasting a delicate Kenyan
AA to roast strength 5 will completely remove all of the prized acidity and
deaden the coffee.
flavour notes and tasting tips
When your fresh coffee arrives it will have a leaflet which will guide you through
its individual qualities - flavour notes to look out for and any special tasting
tips which will enhance the flavour and enjoyment of the coffee.
Many of our
customers keep these leaflets building a mini reference library of flavours
and favourites. They are useful to give to friends who also appreciate
the taste of quality coffee – always assuming you share!
